Yes, so I am Beth. This is my first blog. I decided that I needed one to write down things that I think on the internets. I am very excited about it.

Right now I am at an interesting time in my life. I will soon be entering my senior year at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, which lends itself to both the excitement of the last leg of the race and the fear of what lies ahead. Currently, I am spending the summer in Cornelius, NC (about 25 minutes north of Charlotte), and working as the Market Intelligence intern for Ingersoll Rand. I am sooo stoked about my summer adventure! I am meeting new people, trying new things, and living true independence. I love it.
About Me and the Name of My Blog:
Ahh, yes. Rich Life, Poor Girl. That is me. I was just a little small town girl, born and raised in rural Missouri. My family didn't (and doesn't) have a lot of money, but I would say that we are rich in many other ways. Always the one for adventure, I decided to leave my small town at the ripe age of 19 to go to college almost 1,000 miles away at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. As my parents made the 17-hour trek back to the Show Me State, I decided that I had three options in college: party, blend, or conquer. I ordered myself up a Conquer with a small side of Party. Anywho, to spare you the details, I have had a lot of fun in college (and in life, in general), but I've also managed to do some pretty cool things, which is exactly what I wanted.
So, back to "Rich Life, Poor Girl"... I think it is the best way to describe myself. I didn't live extravagantly growing up, and I still don't, but I have managed to live a pretty rich, fulfilling life so far, and I intend to keep on keepin' on, if you know what I mean.
